Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala urged us in the Noble Quran, “And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and to a Jannah as wide as the heavens and earth, prepared for the righteous.” [Surah Aal e Imran Ayat 133] In another place, He said, “O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is people and stones, over which are (appointed) angels, harsh and severe.” [Surah At-Tahreem Ayat 6]
Therefore, a believers’ focus should not only be to attain success in this duniya but also to achieve Allah’s forgiveness and Jannah in the Hereafter. He should strive to follow Allah’s guidance shown by the Messenger (S) and also include his family in this journey.
We are trying our best in guiding our kids to attain the worldly success. But are we nurturing their spiritual appetite to a satisfactory level?
Race-to-Jannah competition is an opportunity for us to make our kids interested in knowing the religion and deepening their relationship with Allah. Throughout this competition, our children will be able to increase their knowledge of the religion by memorizing and understanding surahs of the Quran, knowing about the seerah of the Messenger (S), basic ibadah, lives of Muslim scientists/scholars etc. They’ll enjoy the experience of different home activities, arts/crafts and the festive atmosphere of the ceremonies. They will also have the chance to interact with and befriend other children of the community.
